Who and Where We Are

Our Congregation

Advent Lutheran Church is a diverse and growing parish community. We seek to be a hospitable place for poor and rich, gay and straight, life-long Christians and newcomers to the faith. And we seek to serve the people of our neighbourhood as well as offer a place of respite and peace in the city of Toronto.

 

The congregation was organized in 1964 and is a parish of the Eastern Synod, Toronto Conference of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). The ELCIC, in turn, holds membership in the Lutheran World Federation, the Canadian Council of Churches, and the World Council of Churches. Advent Lutheran Church is a member of the Toronto Conference.

 

We are a Reconciling Parish.

 

Location

Advent Lutheran Church is located at 2800 Don Mills Road in north Toronto (just north of Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road)
